| Instituto Nacional de Biodiversidad (INBio) The Instituto Nacional de Biodiversidad (INBio), is a non-governmental organization first commissioned by the Costa Rican government to establish the biodiversity inventory for Costa Rica. As part of its mission, INBio generates knowledge of biodiversity though inventory information management, social outreach and conservations programs. INBio is unique in its target efforts to communicate and promote utilization of the knowledge it generates while seeking to contribute to the development of Costa Rican society from a spiritual, social and economic perspective in harmony with nature.
